MASHED POTATOES & TURNIPS (RUMBLEDETHUMPS)
INGREDIENTS: 6 BAKING POTATOES, 3 TURNIPS, 3 CUPS SHREDDED CABBAGE, 4 TBS BUTTER, 1/2 CUP HEABY CREAM, 4 TBS BUTTER, 1 TBS SALT AND PEPPER, 12 OUNCES SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE, FRESH CHIVES
Cut up the potatoes and turnips and boil until soft. Drain throughly. While they are boiling, sauté the cabbage in the butter until soft. Add the salt and pepper to it. Mix everything in a big bowl, put in a baking dish, cover and cook 325 about an hour.
